Atalanta – Inter 2-3: Complete turnaround for Nerazzurri with the great Dzeko

Inter, although falling behind, managed a complete turnaround and, with Dzeko as the protagonist who scored the two goals, beat Atalanta 3-2 on Matchday 15 in Serie A.

Atalanta took the lead but saw Inter secure a 3-2 win while Dzeko was in fine form, scoring twice in his 15th Serie A game.


The home side took the lead in the 25th minute but had a chance to do from the 15th minute. However, Onana was the one who kept the 0-0 after first parrying the Combiners’ shot into the corner and then Palomino’s header.

However, they found a way to take the lead. The referee shows the cue ball after Zapata was brought down by De Frei. Lukman took over the penalty kick to make it 1-0.

Inter equalized immediately after fine work, Lautaro headed in and Dzeko pushed the ball into the net to level at 1-1 in the 36th minute.

In the second half, the Nerazzurri increased their pressure and managed to surprise them in the 56th minute. Dimarco turned left, Dzeko brought the display, Musso cleared, but after the ball crossed the line.

In the 61st minute, a Palomino own goal gave Simone Inzaghi’s team a 3-1 lead. In the 77th minute, however, the Italian conceded his mistake and reduced the deficit to 3-2 with a header, which remained until the final of the game.
