Milan 2-1 Fiorentina: An own goal in the 90+4′ gave the Rossoneri victory

A draw was looming over the San Siro as a Nikola Milenkovic own goal in the 90th + 4th minute gave Milan a 2-1 win over Fiorentina on Matchday 15 of Serie A.

AC Milan held eight points clear of leaders Napoli but it took an own goal in the 4th minute of added time to do so Florence. Nikola Milenkovic prepared the final 2-1 unintentionally on the 15th matchday of Serie A and became a hero before the World Cup break in Milan.


The game started ideally for the “rosoneri” after a counterattack in favor of Rafael Leao and the Portuguese winger opened the scoring in the 2nd. The visitors tried to react and bare their teeth until the 28th minute, when a shot from Antonin Barak and a counterattack from starter Malik Tio equalized.

Both teams had some good chances, with the Violas even scoring a goal. Tension grew over time, with the two coaching changes unsuccessful. A stage where the visitors demanded a penalty but the VAR disagreed, a great shot by Olivier Giroud that ended up going wide at the end and a save by Fikayo Tomori on the line that brought the game to a draw.

Until the 4th minute of injury time, when a cross from Pietro Terracino went wide from the right and Milenkovic, trying to mark Divok Origi, put the ball in the net with his body.
