Virginia Mihailovic’s heartbreaking post about her father’s death
The death of Sinisa Mihajlovic at the age of 53 has sent shockwaves through the world of football and his daughter Virginia bid farewell to the Serbian coach in a heartbreaking social media post.
Sinisa Mihailovic left early, too early. At the age of 53 he managed to have a great career as a player and coach but the leukemia monster targeted him and he failed to dribble with the disease for more than three years of his life in 2019 and takes the people, who he loves just before he leaves in 2022.
As expected, the news of his death spread sadness and sorrow across the world of Italian and world football, with the Serbian leaving behind a beautiful and close-knit family after fathering five children with his beloved Ariana.
One of them, Virginia, took to her personal Instagram account to break hearts on Saturday (12/17) and spoke about her “superhero Sinisha,” who gave her so much more than any man could ever give her .
“It’s hard dad. It’s hard. In this moment, when I’m suffering so much, all I would need is your hug. Not just any hug, yours. Mixed with your scent, left behind like your soul. He knows what I mean .
It is impossible to accept all of this, but I find strength in the immeasurable love you have given me during these years of our life together, so strong that it will accompany me for the rest of my days.
After discovering your destiny, I thank you for having you with me during these years in which you gave me everything, everything a father can give to a daughter and much more.
You loved me infinitely with all the strength you had. You protected me from everything and everyone. You were too much for me, for all of us, for all. My heart is broken today, broken
My soul is getting worse and worse and I can’t keep talking about my superhero, for me dad, for you Sinisa Mihailovic. It hurts too much, too much.
I love you dad, forever, always, always, always. I will shout it to you every day, confident that my cry will get there. We will never part.
Hello dad, my great and infinite love. Promise me I’ll find out more about you, I still need you so badly.” she characteristically wrote, accompanying her post, several photos with her father, from her birth to the present.
And this photo, seen in the foreground, is from the hospital where Sinisa Mihailovic breathed his last, her hand resting on his as a sign that they will never part.
