The Italian MP has denounced Inter fans for anti-Maradona slogans
Italian MP Simona Luizo has complained that a group of Inter Milan fans chanted anti-Diego Maradona slogans ahead of the kick-off of the Napoli derby.
Inter scored through Edin Dzeko to hand Napoli their first Serie A defeat of the season and reignite interest in the title race.
However, what happened before the game between the two teams, Italian MP Simona Luizo complained that part of the “Nerazzurri” fans chanted insulting slogans for Diego Maradona.
“Before the Inter-Napoli game, we saw shameful slogans not only against Napoli but also against Diego Maradona, with lyrics about cholera and appeals to Mount Vesuvius,” said Luizo, then addressed the President of the Italian Football Federation, Gabriele Gravina. .
“He’s pretending nothing is happening while one of Italy’s proud cities is receiving insults every Sunday, like it was forty years ago. What is Gravina waiting for to react? Really, ridiculous. Are fines of 10,000 euros enough to solve the matter?”.
