Serie A
Lazio – Empoli 2:2: The Tuscans froze Rome in the end
Lazio appeared to be recovering from back-to-back defeats before and after the 2022 World Cup, but Empoli eventually came back after scoring twice to earn a 2-2 draw in Rome on matchday 17 of Serie A.
Lazio appeared to be getting back on the road to success and collectively claiming a ‘ticket’ to the next Champions League, but that embolization had a different view. With two goals in the last quarter, he took the point of the tie 2-2 for Matchday 17 of Serie A and prevented Maurizio Sarri’s side from catching up with Inter.
The game started perfectly for the home team as Felipe Anderson scored the first goal in the 2nd minute. The Tuscans didn’t have a final in the 1st part and at the beginning of the 2nd Mattia Jakani made it 2-0 and seemed to “secure” the win.
Emboli turned it up and pared Francesco Caputo’s lead with an exemplary counterattack in the 83rd minute, but Razvan Marin leveled the scores 2-2 with a fine shot in added time.
