Napoli celebrated a 2-0 win over Genoa against Sampdoria to return to winning ways and prepare to host Juventus in the top-flight Serie A derby.

Napoli showed strength at home Samdoria and with that 2-0 on Matchday 17 of Serie A left the first defeat of the season a week before the top game against Juventus Turin.

Victor Osimen has officially extended his contract with Napoli. The Partenopei announced the extension of their cooperation until summer 2026.


The Nigerian striker receives an amount of around nine to ten million euros annually, while his release clause is around 130 to 140 million euros.

At the same time, he decided to cancel the Nigerian national team and the Africa Cup of Nations to help the Partenopei in January.

Napoli spent 75 million euros to bring him from Lille in 2020. Osimen has played 118 games for Napoli and scored 67 goals.

Victor Osimen and Napoli have agreed a new contract, with official announcements expected before Christmas. At the same time, the Nigerian striker will not take part in the Africa Cup of Nations.
