Weston Makeni suffered a metatarsal fracture and was added to Juventus’ huge injury list.

Juventus had struggled with many injury problems during their trip to Spain for their Champions League round of 16 match against Villarreal and picked up two new ones, one of which was quite serious.

THE Weston McKenney suffered fractures in the second and third metatarsals of his left leg, resulting in him likely to be out for up to three months and essentially losing the season finale.

The Brazil full-back, who wore the armband in ‘Theramika’ but was substituted at half-time, suffered a contraction in his calf and his condition will be checked in the coming days.

The two injuries join the five players absent from the next match against Empoli. Daniele Rougani has pulled himself out, Giorgio Chiellini has a muscle injury for the third time this year, Federico Bernardeschi has a problem with his adductors, Cayo Jorge is not ready yet, while Federico Chiesa has torn his cruciate ligament and will have a new cruciate ligament.

Paulo Dybala missed against Villarreal but is expected to return to Tuscany due to the limited squad, with the Argentine being one of the players to have been injured several times over the year. A total of 16 players from the first-team squad have been injured at least once this year in a hospital-like Juventus.
