Jose Mourinho has admitted that Niccolò Gianiolo wants to leave Roma but expressed his conviction that this won’t happen in the current transfer window, stressing that the Giallorossi are not happy with the proposals made to them.

Niccolò Gianiolo seems close to Roma’s exit door after several exit offers (including from Tottenham) but according to Jose Mourinho that won’t happen in the winter transfer window.

“I trust the manager’s words that there are no suggestions that if he were to leave we would hold an emergency meeting to find his replacement but I don’t think that will happen.

We don’t have anyone in mind because I don’t think Nikolo will go. He wants to go but I think he will be here on February 1st.

And I wish I was in London tonight with my family to have dinner together, but I’m here.”stressed the Portuguese after Roma’s 2-0 away win over Spezia to conclude:

“It has significant value, but the proposals that have been put on the table cannot possibly be accepted by the Roma.

If a player wants to leave, there are suggestions, but we don’t have anything here. I’ve always had a good relationship with him, but now he wants to leave.

But where is the offer that is coming and will the Roma be able to accept it?”
