Kyriakopoulos loaned to Bologna from Sassuolo
After 3.5 years of presence at Sassuolo, Giorgos Kyriakopoulos is ready for the second leg of his career at the Campionato, with Bologna reaching an agreement with the Neroverdi on his loan.
Giorgos Kyriakopoulos has been playing in the Sassuolo shirt since the summer of 2019, when he moved from Asteras Tripoli (89 appearances – 2 goals) to the Emilia Romagna team (89 appearances – 2 goals) and, together with several players from that team, he managed to break into the stock exchange to drive up its value last four years.
The result was that there were several interested parties for the 26-year-old international left-back and just before the end of the winter transfer window his move was completed within Italy’s borders, with Bologna being the club to secure his signature.
On Tuesday evening (31/01), the Rossoblu announced their agreement with Sassuolo to loan him out until June 2023 and have the option to buy him next summer, making Kyriakopoulos the 8th Greek to wear the Bologna shirt.
