Verona – Lazio 1: 1: The eagles miss the leap to third place

Lazio had a great chance to move up to third on their own but missed it in Verona as although they took the lead in the 45th minute through a goal from Pedro they conceded a second-half equalizer from the hosts.

After drawing at home with Fiorentina (1-1) and escaping Coppa Italia (losing 1-0 to Juventus in Turin, in the knockout quarter-finals), Lazio drank their third bitter trophy in a row.

This time it was Verona, on Matchday 21 of Serie A, where Maurizio Sarri’s side took the lead at the “Bedegondi” but were unable to defend their lead in the struggle to stay up.

Lazio opened the scoring in the 45th minute with a magical goal from Pedro, who danced around the home side’s defense and defeated Modipo with an elusive left-footed volley, but their joy didn’t last long.

And that’s because Verona played hard in the second half, a header from (newly acquired) Engonz equalizing in the 51st minute, followed by an open game in which scoring chances were wasted at both ends.

The coveted second goal fell neither for Sarri’s team nor for Gaffaroni’s team. Lazio left the team unhappy after finishing in 4th place and -1 behind third-placed Roma, and Verona were happy to fall four points from 17th place.

VERONA: Modipo, Maniani, Hien, Coppola (80′ Ceccherini), Depaoli, Tamese (86′ Sulemana), Duda, Doig, Engonz (68′ Guice), Lazovic (80′ Abilgaard), Lasagna

Lazio: Provendel, Hisay, Casale, Romanioli, Marusic, Milinkovic-Savic, Cataldi (59th Vesino), Alberto, Pedro, Immobile (68th Anderson), Jacani

Incredibly, Mourinho, he sang it to Kvaratshelias and was hugging and kissing him within 10 seconds

An incredible scene took place in the first 45 minutes of the Roma-Napoli game in which Jose Mourinho first theatrically cheered Kvaratshelias and then hugged and kissed him within ten seconds.

Incredible scene in Rome – Napoli where Jose Mourinho first chants Quaratschelia and then within ten seconds hugs, kisses and talks to him as if he were his father.

In the 37th minute of the game, the Georgian international earned a foul and a yellow card from his opponent, in a phase that took place in front of Mourinho, who insisted that there was not even a foul.

Afterwards, the Portuguese technician initially shouted at Kvaratshelias, telling him that he was just acting, but as he approached Georgianos, he hugged him, kissed him and began talking to him in a very calm tone while the two men found each other. A little later, the recording showed Mourinho having a very friendly chat with Osimen.
