Salernitana 0-3 Juventus: Super Vlahovic on his return to goal
Dusan Vlahovic returned to Juventus’ Serie A line-up with the goals, scoring twice in their 3-0 away win over Salernitana.
Salernitana and Juventus were two points adrift before half-time for non-competitive reasons. The difference on the pitch was huge, as Dusan Vlahovic proved when he made his first appearance in the Bianconeri’s Serie A starting XI after the 2022 World Cup. The Serbian striker scored twice and led his team to victory 3-0 in the game that closed the curtain on Matchday 21.
Vlahovic had Angel Di Maria up front and Filip Kostic on the left, while Massimiliano Allegri set his stars after injuries and unsuccessful experiments in previous games. The difference in height was obvious and in the 26th minute Vlahovic opened the scoring with a penalty.
The reaction of the hosts remained the same, Filip Kostic used the lack of defense to make it 2-0 before the end of the first half.
In the 2nd half, the game started with a goal from Vlahovic, which effectively “fixed” the win, especially since the home side failed in the next attack on a unique opportunity. The game had blossomed into a one-man show, with Juventus scoring two goals before claiming the ‘three points’.
