Adrien Rabiot’s goal wasn’t enough for Juventus, who needed a VAR suspension in the 89th minute to clinch a 1-0 win over Fiorentina in Turin.

Juventus prevailed with difficulty Florence with 1-0 in the ‘Alliance’ to match day 22 of Serie A, narrowing the ‘gap’ separating them from the places leading to European competitions.

The Bianconeri kept the upper hand in the first half and ended their goal dominance in the 34th minute with Adrien Rabiot. Massimiliano Allegri’s men deservedly took the lead and could have scored again had they been more accurate. Former Viola forward Dusan Vlahovic was among the players who missed opportunities.

The game then equalized, with Fiorentina finding gaps in the home side’s defence, who mainly played down the flanks. Luka Jovic’s cross didn’t threaten Wojciech Szczesny’s goal and finally everything was decided in the 89th minute. Gaetano Castrovilli, after a fumble in the Bianconeri’s penalty area, caught a volley and the ball went into the net, but it was ruled offside early in the period, meaning the goal didn’t count.

THE Bologne lined up with him Babi Lykogiannis as a left-back and the George Kyriakopoulos as a left midfielder, but the Monza left with the “double” (1-0) thanks to a goal by Giulio Donati.
