Economou is officially at Sampdoria
Marios Economou officially returns to Serie A with the Italian side announcing his signing on Friday (17/2).
THE Marios Economous returned to Serie A after five years, this time in his own shirt Samdoriawhich announced its takeover on Friday (February 17).
The 30-year-old centre-back was at the Sampdoria office in Genoa on Thursday (16.2.), where he signed his contract after passing a medical check-up the day before.
His contract includes a renewal clause if the club stays in Serie A and Oikonomou makes a certain number of appearances.
The six-time international found himself at Cagliari in the summer of 2013 when he joined from PAS Ioannina. In 2014 he went to Bologna where he stayed for five seasons, on loan to SPAL, Bari and AEK, which also became his next team.
For the last two years he was in Denmark on behalf of Copenhagen, from which he was released to the national championship at the end of the season.
