Roma 1-0 Verona: Solbakken edged past Lazio
Ola Solbakken’s first goal in a Roma shirt resulted in a 1–0 win over Verona and a Lazio overtake in Serie A after matchday 23 in Serie A.
Roma regained fourth place in Serie A after matchday 23 thanks to a win 1-0 on her Verona. Ola Solbakken combined his first appearance in the starting XI with his first goal for the Giallorossi at the right time.
Jose Mourinho’s side saw Lazio slide past after their home win over Salernitana and combined with the absence of this year’s MVP Paulo Dybala, the pressure was high.
The visitors put up some resistance and had a good chance, but it was the home side who found the back of the net after a nice combination and a finish from Solbakken.
In the 2nd half the pace was very low, neither team could get close to the opposing penalty area, there were no real chances to score and so the 1:0 was held until the end.
