Mourinho lashes out at fans and reporters after Roma’s win over Verona
Roma got the three points against Verona and climbed up to 3rd place in the standings, but that didn’t stop Jose Mourinho from voicing his grievances about the behavior of the Olimpico fans towards his players.
A goal by Ola Solbakken in his first Roma start resulted in a 1-0 win over Verona on Sunday night and the Giallorossi climbed to third in Serie A, but Jose Mourinho attacked fans and journalists in the final.
“We played very well against a team like Verona, who don’t let you build up phases. It was a deserved victory for the boys after the exhaustion caused by the Europa League game in Austria.
I don’t think this team gets the recognition it deserves.” the Portuguese first pointed out before targeting Roma fans:
“OK sold out but vibe and vibe is there. If it gives the team a boost, that’s one thing, if it’s like the game against Verona where the first bad pass blows, it doesn’t help us.
We don’t have Kafu or Maikon, but people don’t understand how well we work. More of a fan than a fan, Beauvais is doing well and improving.
He had to be loaned out to a Serie C team, now he’s a regular at Roma.” he said characteristically. Even the press representatives did not escape the fire of the special, he added:
“It goes without saying that the press won’t help us because everyone is a phenomenon, except for Roma, who only win through luck or set pieces.
I don’t deserve congratulations, the team and the players deserve them. I have to protect my players who earn more.”
