Menian returned to Milan training after five months and “circled” the game against Tottenham
After five months out through injury, Michael Menjan has been taking part in AC Milan training as usual and wants to be 100 per cent ready for the Champions League round of 16 second leg against Tottenham Hotspur.
Mike Megnan was one of this season’s big losers in world football. The France keeper picked up a calf injury during the French Nations League game last September and has struggled ever since, only to be eliminated from the World Cup but also many matches at Milan.
Meanwhile, the former Lille goalkeeper and one of the main contributors to the Rossoneri’s Scudetto win last season didn’t give up and his reward is not long in coming as the Frenchman is now counting down to getting back under the goalposts .
The first narrow victory came on Tuesday (02/21) after he and the rest of the team saved most of the training session. Italian media reported that his return to action was now a matter of time.
Milan’s medical staff will assess his condition day by day from now on and there’s a chance fans will see him against Atalanta (on the bench) and against Fiorentina (starter) with his big goal of closing the Rossoneri’s home stadium defend on March 8 in a rematch with Tottenham for the “16” of the Champions League.
