Pig head package at Sampdoria offices, fans threaten management
Sampdoria are in an extremely difficult position in the battle to stay up and some fans wanted to show their angry mood towards management by leaving a pig’s head outside the club’s offices.
They’re one of the historic clubs in the Campionato with many loyal fans, but this season has been a nightmare for Sampdoria, with the Genoa side penultimate and -8 from the lifeline and Dejan Stankovic asked for a small miracle to his rescue team from Serie B.
In fact, the situation at the Genovese is a boiling cauldron with fans angry at the club’s managers as well as former president Massimo Ferrero, who blames him with serious responsibility for the existing situation and some of them are taking extreme action.
As reported by Italian media, unknown persons left a paper packet with a pig’s head inside in front of the club’s offices, while there was also the following message for former president Ferrero and lawyer Romei, who is on the current board: “The next heads will be yours.”
It is noted that the police immediately arrived at Sampdoria’s offices to investigate, but the specific environment testifies that there is just no unity in the team and that the mission of Marios Economos (newly acquired in January) and his teammates won’t be easy.
