Inter CEO: ‘Lukaku will return to Chelsea and we’ll see what happens’
Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta left the Nerazzurri open about Romelu Lukaku’s future, stressing that he will return to Chelsea first in the summer.
Romelu Lukaku’s loan deal from Chelsea at Inter ends in the summer of 2023. The future of the 29-year-old Belgian striker remains uncertain.
This season he has made 12 appearances in Serie A with two goals and one assist. Nerazzurri CEO Giuseppe Marotta said in his question about Lukaku that his future will be decided in the summer but first he will return to Chelsea.
“Whether Lukaku will stay next year? It’s too early to decide, he will return to Chelsea and we’ll see what happens. Lukaku definitely wants to stay at Inter. We know Romelu’s mood and we’ll see if .” we are negotiating his return” expressly stated.
