Biraghi scored from the cross without the director seeing him
Cristiano Biraghi scored one of the most impressive goals of the season in all of Europe, with the Fiorentina left-back scoring from a cross that lulled not only the Verona side but the director as well.
After qualifying for the last 16 of the Conference League last week, Fiorentina took the lead and defeated Verona, with the Tuscan side winning 3-0 at Bettegondi on Monday night (27/02) with an impressive 3-0 in their 24th game of the Series A
Scorers for Italiano’s team were Barak, Cabral and Biraghi, with the player who stole the show being the scorer of the ‘Viola’ third goal as the ball landed in the opposition’s net in an unusual manner.
After a high cross from Madragora was fouled, a Verona player walked over the injured Fiorentina player to check if he had scored. Biraghi then spotted Modipo offside and quickly took the foul out of the middle.
His lob was stunning and he netted the ball to make it 3-0 for Fiorentina, with the home side’s players complaining to the referee that it wasn’t fair but their votes weren’t enough to prevent Biraghi from awarding Biraghi’s incredible goal.
To such an incredible extent that after the foul, the director repeated the phase of Madragora’s injury and thus the goal was “lost” in the live broadcast of the game.
