Cagliari – Lazio 0:3: The eagles do not give up the fight for Europe
Lazio beat Cagliari 3-0 in Sardinia and returned to success after four consecutive negative results to move up to 7th place in Serie A and remain in the European Gulf.
Lazio suffered a shock defeat in their last game, conceding a goal from Napoli 90+4 (1-2), but traveled to Sardinia with a very positive tradition, having last lost in La Liga to Cagliari in May 2013, maintained what caused a stir.
Mauricio Sari’s players took an early lead with a well-aimed penalty from Ciro Immobile in the 19th and 42nd minutes, making life even easier for them and making it 2-0 to Luis Alberto.
With this result both teams went to the dressing room and in 62′ Felipe Anderson made sure to end the title by writing the 3-0 for the Eagles who left Cagliari headquarters with the only bad moment, the dismissal of Marusic with a second yellow card in the 89th minute.
It is worth noting that Immobile made history after scoring 143 goals in Serie A with the Eternal City team and equaling Silvio Piola’s record as the top scorer in Lazio history.
