Naples – Atalanta 2: 0: “Quaradona” showed it

Napoli did their duty against Atalanta, proved that the Lazio defeat was a bad bracket and after that 2-0 On Matchday 26 of Serie A, things look set for the game against Eintracht that will take them to the Champions League quarter-finals.

The “Partenopei” came up with all their weapons and completely dominated the field without being able to create many great chances. A Victor Osimen header almost opened the scoring in impressive fashion but that was the work of Napoli attacking partner Kvitsa Kvaratthelia.

The Georgian magician brought the ball into the penalty area in the 60th minute and with nice feints he emptied three defenders and found space to shoot to make it 1-0.

The goal led to Napoli’s first substitutions (Atalanta had already made two, the first due to Berat Tzimsiti’s injury), followed by Gian Piero Gasperinis, but to no avail for the visitors, who were preparing for a fourth straight game without a win.

Amir Rahmani’s 77th-minute header sealed the lead for Napoli, who are now counting down to the Scudetto and against Eintracht at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Wednesday.
