Roma – Sassuolo 3-4: Festival of Goals at the Olimpico
Sassuolo secured a great win at the Olimpico against 10-man Roma thanks to a satisfying 4-3.
In a satisfying game for strong (and many) nerves who Sassuolo subdue me 4-3 Roma in the “Olimpico” on the 26th matchday of Serie A and thus denied them the chance to climb to 2nd place in the table.
Armand Loriente’s two quick goals ignited the game. Nikola Zalewski reduced the lead in the 26th minute, but the “Gialorossi” couldn’t get back into the game despite missed chances. In the delays of the 1st part, Domenico Berardi increased with a penalty in which Maras Koumboulas fell and was sent off.
Early in the second half, Paulo Dybala scored his ninth league goal of the season, but Alessio Dionisi’s side produced one of their best performances of the season and faced Roma. Andrea Pinamonti’s 75th-minute goal capped a performance with chances and even the post, and Georginio Wijnaldum’s late save was irrelevant.
THE Dimitris Keramitsis sat on the bench for the “Giallorossi”.
