Kyriakopoulos’ excellent assist brought Bologna 1-1 in Salerno

Bologna fell behind in the 7th minute of Salernitana’s home game but reacted immediately, Giorgos Kyriakopoulos taking a precise cross from the left and Ferguson making it 1-1 with a tight header.

Giorgos Kyriakopoulos, who had proven his credentials in previous years with the Sassuolo shirt, is now doing so on the Serie A spots with Bologna, who signed him on the last day of January.

He delivered that message on Saturday afternoon as the 27-year-old left-back made his seventh start for Rossoblu against Salernitana and was involved in a goal for his new club for the first time since joining them.

This happened notably in the 11th minute of the game in Salerno when Bologna reacted strongly to the goal they conceded from Pirola in the 7th minute. Kyriakopoulos, playing at left winger, lashed in a right-footed cross from the left, the ball rolling onto the head of Ferguson, who made it 1-1 by beating Ochoa.
