Sampdoria – Juventus 1-2: At +9 by Atalanta with hero Moratas
Alvaro Morata scored twice and Juventus edged Sampdoria 3-1 in Genoa, opening Atalanta’s ‘gap’ in the Serie A battle of the four.
Massimiliano Allegri left Dusan Vlahovic on the bench, favoring Alvaro Morata with Moyes Ken for Juventus and the Spanish striker justified him by scoring two goals in victory 3-1 on her Samdoria in Genoa for the 29th game of Serie A.
The ‘Bianconeri’ dominated most of the time, despite taking the lead in the 23rd minute through a Maya Yoshinda own goal and also an opportunity from Sampdoria. Waldimiro Falcone was needed on some occasions because of the Juventus players’ failure, but not in the 34th minute. When Ken fell through Omar Colley in the penalty area, Morata took the penalty kick to make it 2-0.
The hosts had to reduce their moments the bigger the penalty, which Antonio Cantreva won in the hand of Adrian Rabio in 74′. However, the Italian lost to Wojciech Cesni. In the end, the reduction came a little later with a change, Abdulhamid Sabiri, but Morata struck again at the end and sent the “bianconeri” to +9 from Atalanta in a four-way battle (with two games more).
