After several years of presence at Olympiakos, Lina Solukou will now offer her services to Roma, with the Eternal City team announcing her recruitment for the position of the club’s CEO and general manager.

Lina Souloukou worked for several years in Greek football as Olympiacos general manager (she left the Piraeus team in June 2022) and now the Greek lawyer will offer her services to Roma by agreeing with Roma to take over the position of general manager of the club.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the Friedkin family for giving me this opportunity: I have been able to appreciate and understand the spirit and ambition that inspires the property and I am honored to be able to take part in the challenges that await Rome “stressed Lina Sulukou in her first statements and added:

“I am thrilled to be joining this historic club and look forward to making my experience gained in the international football world available to the club, its directors and all staff.”

For their part, Eternal City team owners Dan and Ryan Friedkin commented on the hiring of Lina Suluku: Lina is an experienced, respected and trusted leader in both football and business and we are delighted to welcome her to the Roma family.

We will work closely with her to continue building the club at the highest level, which both Giallorossi fans and the city deserve.”

Lina Solukou takes over the post from Pietro Berardi, who was sacked from Roma on Monday night, it being worth noting that among the names circulated as candidates for the new CEO of the Giallorossi, that of Zbigniew Boniek (veteran ace of Giallorossi ) were of the team) and Ubergo Gandini (current President of the Italian Basketball League).

It is noted that the Greek lawyer was hired in 2018 for the position of CEO at Olympiacos and held that role until June 2022, while she was hired in 2019 as a member of the ECA Board, a position she still holds today.
