De Laurentiis: “I feel like I’ve won other titles, the most important thing is that we got the honesty title”
Napoli are just a breath away from being crowned Italian champions for the third time in their history and Aurelio De Laurentiis has insisted in an interview that the title would have come sooner had it not been for some irregularities.
A 1-1 home draw against Salernitana last Sunday prevented Napoli from celebrating their third league title in front of a crushing ‘Diego Maradona’ home crowd, but extra time in the crown was not enough to dampen the celebratory atmosphere in the football capital of the Italian south for a few 24 hours.
Comments made by Aurelio De Laurentiis on Tuesday afternoon (05/02) during a press conference are strange testimony, with the Partenopei strongman declaring, among other things, that he believes Napoli should have won more championships, if anything, usually in calcio -area operated.
“I think we started this winning streak a while ago. Then some recurring irregularities affected us.
Sometimes we finished second when we should have finished first. I feel like we’ve won more titles, but more importantly, we’ve won the title of honesty.” emphasized the strongman of the Partenopei, to add:
“I’m very excited, especially after hearing funny things like ‘De Laurentiis doesn’t want to win the Scudetto’. Last year when everyone left and I said I hope to win the title, they looked at me like they were saying, “Poor guy.
I’m proud to see the joy on the streets, I helped make it happen.” Referring to the fact that he is remembered more than anyone, De Laurentiis spoke about the double against Juventus (5-1 h, 1-0 a) and said:
“The match against Juventus was worthy of the championship, beating them in the first round with such a high score and winning in the second round as well.”
It is recalled that Napoli will “lock up” the title five games before the final if Lazio fails to beat Sassuolo at the “Olimpico” on Wednesday night (3/4), otherwise a point at home against Udinese on Thursday (4/4) is enough for Luciano Spalletti’s team to celebrate the Scudetto early.

Incredibly, Mourinho, he sang it to Kvaratshelias and was hugging and kissing him within 10 seconds
An incredible scene took place in the first 45 minutes of the Roma-Napoli game in which Jose Mourinho first theatrically cheered Kvaratshelias and then hugged and kissed him within ten seconds.
Incredible scene in Rome – Napoli where Jose Mourinho first chants Quaratschelia and then within ten seconds hugs, kisses and talks to him as if he were his father.
In the 37th minute of the game, the Georgian international earned a foul and a yellow card from his opponent, in a phase that took place in front of Mourinho, who insisted that there was not even a foul.
Afterwards, the Portuguese technician initially shouted at Kvaratshelias, telling him that he was just acting, but as he approached Georgianos, he hugged him, kissed him and began talking to him in a very calm tone while the two men found each other. A little later, the recording showed Mourinho having a very friendly chat with Osimen.
