Napoli made history by returning to the throne of Italian football after a 33-year absence, and the press in the neighboring country took the opportunity to adore the Partenopei with impressive headlines.

The footballing pride of the Italian south has waited patiently for decades, but the time has come for Napoli fans to celebrate a major success for their side.

This was the Scudetto’s conquest, the first since 1990 and the third overall in the club’s history, with the country’s sports press idolizing Luciano Spalletti and his footballers through their today’s (5/5) front pages the day after, 1-1 at home from Udinese.

“Napoli in Paradise” is the characteristic headline of the “Gazzetta dello Sport”, with the “Corriere dello Sport” urging fans to bow to this team (they celebrated the Scudetto five games before the final) and Tuttosport, to which Legend to refer to Diego Maradona, who broke through the Partenopei in the second half of the 80s and led them to their first two championships in 1987 and 1990.
