Racist chants against Vlahovic lead to a one-minute stoppage at Atalanta-Juventus
The game between Atalanta and Juventus was marred by racist chants from some of the home fans to Dusan Vlahovic, with the Serbian striker scoring in the final telling them to… shut up.
Juventus celebrated a vital victory on Sunday afternoon (7/5) in Bergamo with a 2-0 win over Atalanta on Matchday 34 of Serie A, but the game was overshadowed by an ugly incident.
This was the racist attack Dusan Vlahovic received just before the final of the game from Atalanta fans sitting in the organized horseshoe (Curva Nord Pisani), with referee Doveri having to stop the game for a minute to calm the crowd.
“You are Gypsy” threw the affected fans at Vlahovic, the 22-year-old striker took a few minutes later, namely at 90.+8, sweet revenge, scored the 2-0 and pushed with his characteristic hand movements at the end (received a yellow card for his celebration) .
“Unfortunately there are bad moments, it is necessary to ignore them, although it is not easy”, Among other things, Massimo Allegri emphasized in his statements after the game that Atalanta are now in danger of playing one of their next games without people in front of the organized gates.
