Benaser was KO for at least six months
Milan will be without Ismael Benaser for a long time as the Algerian international midfielder undergoes surgery on his right knee and is not expected to return to play for at least six months.
Ismael Benaser was Milan’s misfortune in the first semi-final of the Champions League against Inter, after injuring himself in the opening minutes of the game and only giving up his place to Mesias in the 18th minute.
The initial diagnosis spoke of a problem in his right knee that would keep him out of action for at least three months, but some 24 hours later it turned out that the magnitude of his problem was much greater.
As Milan officially announced, the player underwent one arthroscopic Surgery to correct the problem will be performed and the time required for his recovery is estimated to be at least six months.
Practically this means he will definitely miss the first three months of the new season, with the Rossoneri yet to recall the case of Giacomo Bonaventura, who sustained a similar injury in 2018 that required him to pit for eight months.
