Bonucci is hanging up his career in the summer of 2024
Next season will be Leonardo Bonucci’s last in football as the Juventus defender has announced that he will hang up his boots in Summer 2024.
A great career is entering its last phase. The 2023/2024 season will be Leonardo Bonucci’s last. The 36-year-old Italy centre-back announces his retirement from football next summer.
“When I stop playing next year it will be the end of an era in defense. When you’re a kid chasing a ball, you dream of wearing a jersey like this Juventus jersey. I’m very proud of what I did at Juventus.” expressly stated.
Bonucci has made 500 appearances for the Bianconeri, scoring 37 goals and providing 10 assists, and those numbers are likely to rise next season.
The Italy centre-back also played for Milan (51 caps), Treviso (42 caps), Bari (39 caps) and Pisa (18 caps) and also made four appearances for Inter.
