The prosecutor suggested deducting 11 points from Juventus
The prosecutor of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) requested on Monday (22 May) that Juventus be deducted 11 points due to incorrect accounting data.
FIGC prosecutor Giuseppe Chinet called for the Turin team to be deducted 11 points during the hearing in the Juventus case, which was suspended in April.
The final decision is expected to be made on Monday (May 22) or Tuesday (May 23).
We remind you that Juventus and its agents are accused of artificially inflating transfer earnings that resulted in capital gains. However, the defense argued that these amounted to 60,000,000 euros over three years, ie only 3.6% of their earnings.
In addition, ten other clubs (Napoli, Sampdoria, Genoa, Empoli, Parma, Pisa, Pescara, Novara, Chievo and Pro Vercelli) were initially accused along with 59 people of the same practice but were all acquitted on April 15. The court ruled that it is impossible to independently determine the worth of a football player.
Juventus were the only team not to be acquitted as new evidence implicating them in the case emerged in January.
The Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) temporarily exonerated Juventus last April, giving them back the 15 penalty points.
