Mourinho: ‘Tottenham is the only team I’ve coached and I don’t feel much’

Jose Mourinho has revealed at his press conference ahead of Roma’s Europa League final that Tottenham are the only team he’s overseen in his career and he doesn’t feel much for them anymore.
A goalless draw against Leverkusen qualified Roma for the Europa League final, while Jose Mourinho had guided them to another major accolade a year earlier, winning the Conference League.
In his press conference ahead of the final against Sevilla on May 31, Mourinho revealed that of all the teams he’s coached in his career, Tottenham is the only one he doesn’t have big feelings for.
“The only club in my career I still don’t have big feelings for is Tottenham. Probably because the stadium was empty during the coronavirus and because President Levy didn’t let me go to the final and win the trophy. But it’s the only club in my life. said the special one.
We remind you that the cooperation of both sides has been completedgloriously in April 2021 when the Londoners’ management sacked the Portuguese.
Mourinho then added:
“It’s a shame we can’t play a final every week. I don’t think about myself, I think about the players and the fans. I would love to help the players win and try to get what the fans expect. We want to play and we will be there on Wednesday to play for it.
I’ve improved since I played in my first final (21 years ago with Porto) but I have the same DNA, I don’t want any pressure, just the pleasure of playing in the final and thinking about the journey we’ve had went .
The trainer improves over time. When you lose motivation you have to stop, but that’s not the case for me.

Mourinho: ‘I’m tired of being a coach, a communicator and the one who says we’ve been robbed’

While Jose Mourinho expressed his desire to stay at Roma, he also hinted that he was tired of complaining about refereeing.
Roma failed to win the Europa League, while Sevilla celebrated this trophy after beating 4-1 on penalties (1-1 in regular time and extra time).
In the final, Jose Mourinho complained about Anthony Taylor’s refereeing and kicked him in the parking lot. Speaking to Sky Sports, the special adviser explained that he had a desire to continue at Roma but was tired of the general situation.
“I want to stay at Roma but my players earn more and I earn more. I’m a bit tired of being the manager, the communications man, the face of the club who says we’ve been robbed after every game.” I’m tired of having to deal with all fronts.
Next year we won’t play in the Champions League and that’s a good thing because we weren’t cut out for that.
And let’s hope that (referee) Anthony Taylor only officiates games in the Champions League and makes the same mistakes there as here and not in the Europa League. said the Portuguese coach.
