Spalletti gets his first tattoo to celebrate Napoli’s Scudetto
Luciano Spalletti led Napoli to a historic triumph by winning their first league title since 1990 and wanted to capture those magical moments forever by tattooing the Napoli crest and the number ‘3’.
Italian media reports are bringing him one step closer to leaving “Diego Maradona” by resigning, but even if that happens, Luciano Spalletti’s love for Napoli is non-negotiable.
He’s proven it with his presence on the bench for the past two years, this year he’s surpassed it by winning the historic Scudetto, and now he wants to capture it in an even more special way: through tattoos.
Not just any, but the first he ever did in his 64 years, with Spalletti sporting the Napoli crest on his left arm and the number ‘3’ beneath it in the national colors, as well as the Partenopei Championships.
Valentino Russo was the artist who had Spalletti make this particular tattoo, while also revealing (by releasing accompanying photos) that Spalletti had tattooed the names of his three children on his right arm alongside the Napoli coat of arms: Samuele, Federico and matilde
