UEFA launch investigation into Jose Mourinho referee abuse after Europa League final
On Friday (2 June), UEFA launched an investigation into Jose Mourinho’s conduct towards the referee of the Europa League final.
Champions Sevilla and Roma lost the trophy 4-1 on penalties in the Europa League final. Jose Mourinho couldn’t control his nervousness and verbally attacked the referee in the stadium’s car park.
A few days after the incident, UEFA opened a file on the incident and is investigating the Special One’s conduct for insulting referee Anthony Taylor.
We remember that on his departure from Budapest Airport, Taylor was attacked by Roma fans.
