Mourinho’s move that ‘showed’ Roma staying.
Jose Mourinho characteristically waved to Roma fans, showing he is keen on staying in the Eternal City and not leaving the club.
Much has been heard about Jose Mourinho’s coaching future. The Portuguese coach even got involved with Olympiacos following a Turkish release and it will be decided in the coming days whether he will continue at Roma or find a new home.
After the last game against Spezia and the 2-1 win that finally propelled the Giallorossi to the Europa League, the special (suspended and not on the bench) went onto the pitch with the players to greet the crowd and him Thank you for your support just 24 hours after the painful penalty shoot-out defeat by Sevilla.
Mourinho was booed by his teammates and made a characteristic hand gesture, pointing to the ground as if to tell them he intends to continue in the Eternal City. Obviously there were cheers from the fans who wanted him to stay with the team.
Mourinho is reportedly asking for a bigger budget from management so Roma can attract better players in the current transfer window and be more competitive next season.
