Nesta: “Maldini’s dismissal is beyond all logic”
Milan management’s decision to show Paolo Maldini the exit sparked fierce reactions from both inside and outside the club. Veteran Rossoneri star Alessandro Nesta called the move illogical.
Paolo Maldini has been a thing of the past for three 24 hours from Milanwho sacked him after a heated disagreement with the club’s owner over plans for the new season, which caused an uproar among the Rossoneri.
Several players complained in the dressing room about the above decision, there was a harsh message from the organizers to those in charge, and there were also many people who have served for Milan in the past who rushed to take a stand against the Exhibition of the Living Legends Club.
One of them was his former Milan team-mate and good friend Alessandro Nesta, who stressed in his TV interview:
“I haven’t called him yet, I know when something like this happens he gets bombarded with calls and so I’ll be hearing from him later.”
I don’t know what happened, but it doesn’t make any sense. I believe that foreign owners who come to Italy are welcome because they bring money and ideas, but they should also deal with the history of the club.
“What Ancelotti said was right”, stressed, among other things, the former defender of Milan and the Italian national team.
