Signed on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain, the 35-year-old midfielder had a busy season of 40 appearances and eight goals in what could have been a difficult campaign at Juventus, but he did celebrate the World Cup title.
International media are reporting that Di Maria is expected to return to Benfica 13 years after joining Real Madrid.
