According to an Italian publication, Verona are interested in Matias Almeida
Matias Almeida caught the interest of Verona but the release clause in his €10m contract became an insurmountable obstacle, an Italian publication reported.
Promoted to Serie A via a play-off with Spezia, Verona are looking for a manager who can keep them in the halls of Italian football.
One of the coaches wanted for the technical direction was Matias Almeida, as reported by the Italian Telenuovo. However, as the publication states, the existence of the €10m release clause ended all negotiations.
It is worth remembering that the Argentine coach has a contract with AEK until the summer of 2028, while he celebrated winning the double in his first season with the Union.
