Sandro Tonali said goodbye to AC Milan in an emotional social media post following his move to Newcastle.

THE Sandro Tonali belongs to the past for Milan, the team of his heart, which he drew attention to with an emotional post on social media.

The 23-year-old midfielder became Italy’s highest-paid footballer with his move to Newcastle, which was announced on Monday, and said goodbye to the Rossoneri with a heartfelt message.

Tonali’s message

“Today I have mixed feelings in my heart. As you know, I have decided to start a new adventure, a new challenge.”

First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the club that welcomed me and gave me the opportunity to join this great team that is and always will be my home. Thank you to those who have made it possible for me to wear the colors of my heart’s team and to those who have taken care of my case over the past few weeks.

I learned so much in those three years and found a football family in the club, in my teammates and in the coaching staff who supported me and accompanied me on my way. Thanks to them I’ve managed to improve as a player and as a person.

I understand that this goodbye can bring mixed feelings, and it’s normal to have those feelings when you’re leaving a big part of your heart. But it’s important to remember that changes in football, as in life, can be a source of growth for everyone involved.

Now I want to thank my people: all who, like me, have red and black in their hearts. I will never forget the chants from the stands, the 19th Scudetto, all the wonderful moments we shared and the love for our Milan.

I wish you all, the club and the fans, all the best for the future and I am optimistic that you will continue to achieve great things together.

A warm hug, hoping that this is not goodbye but a reunion.

Forza Milan, Sandro”.
