Sessney gave a good reason for his reluctance to go to Saudi Arabia
This summer, Saudi Arabia is launching its football revolution by signing stars to play in Europe. Wojciech Szczesny rejects this prospect and justifies his choice with disarming honesty.
Wojciech Szczesny will be Juventus goalkeeper in the 2023/24 season and he made sure to make that clear himself, denying the scenarios that would force him to listen to sirens from abroad, especially from Saudi Arabia, to keep open.
“Go to Saudi Arabia? I’ve already made a lot of money in my career, I prefer challenges that keep me entertained and Juventus’ home defense is the best I can have.”
I’m tied to Juve and the club want me here. The Polish goalkeeper stressed in an interview with TVP Sport to add meaningfully: “I am and will remain a Juventus player until they don’t want me anymore.”
Without Europe, for the first time in my career, I will have time to train and then rest. In the end, the team’s absence from Europe doesn’t mean the end of the world, I’ll watch the Champions League on TV.
As for Italy, the desire to win the championship again is great. It’s a disappointment that we haven’t done it lately, but the motivation to come back and fight for the title is great.”
