Hadzidiakos last played for Alkmaar and travels to Italy to sign for Cagliari
Pantelis Hatzidiakos played for the last time of his career at Alkmaar, helping them qualify for the Conference League groups before boarding a plane and completing his transfer to Cagliari.
Pantelis Hatzidiakos made his mark in the Netherlands and Europe for eight years competing in Alkmaar and is now ready for the next step in his career.
That’s what Cagliari is all about. The 26-year-old national player has agreed on a deal with the Sardinians, but is proving to be an absolute professional after he not only came on for Alkmaar in Norway against Brann on Thursday evening (31.8.), but also played for 120 minutes to help his side qualify for the Conference League groups (3-3 in regulation and overtime, 5-6 on penalties in favor of Norway).
As soon as the game was over, Hatzidiakos practically said goodbye to AZ to board a plane to Italy. Media from the neighboring country reported that he had agreed to sign a contract until 2027 that would net him a total of 3 million euros.
