Turam celebrated a la Lukaku and failed at Lautaro
Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez shared a close partnership at Inter for three years, but now the Nerazzurri see the Belgian as an unwanted person and the Argentine showed it in a special way as he celebrated his goal.
Romelu Lukaku left Inter feeling betrayed by his behavior last summer, leading to a rupture in relations between the two sides. The Belgian striker left Meatza after his second spell and continued his career at Roma.
The abyss that now separates “Big Rom” from Milan was revealed even in an unexpected moment, during Inter’s victorious match against Fiorentina (4-0) on Matchday 3 of Serie A.
It only took a few seconds for Simone Inzaghi’s side to make it 2-0 through Lautaro Martinez’s foot. The Argentine ran to celebrate and Marcus Thuram rushed towards him, mimicking Lukaku’s trademark celebration as he played with Lautaro in Inter’s attack.
With a characteristic hand movement, the world champion quickly refused to take part in this celebration, in order to be questioned later on camera about this incident, and explained meaningfully:
“Why did I stop following Lukaku on social media? Turam is a great player, both Arnautovic and Sanchez, I’m happy to play with them…”
