Paul Pogba tested positive for testosterone in a doping test after Juventus’ game against Udinese last August and could even face a two-year ban.
The problems are not over for Paul Pogba. As if the constant injuries that prevented him from showing his skills in his second spell with Juventus weren’t enough for the French midfielder, they now bring another problem on his head, namely a doping case, in which he is the focus.
As the Italian media revealed, the French midfielder tested positive for testosterone in a doping test he underwent on August 20 after Udinese-Juventus for the Serie A opener, in a match that did not even take place on the pitch.
He is currently on precautionary suspension and has three days to request a second analysis. If the second sample is also positive, Pogba will go to the national anti-doping court to apologize.
The exclusion from the fight against doping lasts up to two years, although Italian media speak of a penalty of up to four years if intent is proven.
It is worth remembering that last season, the first after his return to Italy for Juventus, Pogba only managed 108 minutes of play, while this year he played 52 minutes for the Vecchia Signora.
