US supplement is responsible for Pogba’s positive doping test result
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, a dietary supplement from the USA is said to be responsible for Paul Pogba’s positive doping test result.
Paul Pogba tested positive for testosterone in a doping test after Juventus’ game against Udinese last August and could even face a two-year ban.
Gazzetta dello Sport revealed what the possible reason for the positive test is. Specifically, a dietary supplement purchased from the USA is responsible, where there are different doping regulations than in Europe.
In fact, this particular product was recommended to Pogba by a doctor friend without Juventus even knowing about it. Therefore, it is possible that the French footballer’s problems are due to his negligence.
Pogba’s lawyer is already reviewing the defense line and has three days to request a review. However, the Frenchman has informed the Juventus medical team since Monday (11/9) that he had consumed a drug that the Bianconeri people were unaware of.
If the second test is positive, Juventus has the right to terminate his contract. Pogba has signed until the summer of 2026 and his annual earnings amount to eight million euros.
