Juventus is not waiting idly for the sports judges’ verdict in the Paul Pogba doping case. “Repubblica” announced that they have already identified his potential successor.

This week has been anything but pleasant for Paul Pogba, who tested positive for testosterone in a doping test after Juventus’ game against Udinese last August and is even facing a two-year ban.

A sentence that could even reach four years if it turns out that the French midfielder knowingly took certain banned substances.

What attitude does Juventus have? He is also waiting for the results of Pogba’s second sample, but at the same time requests his replacement in case the Frenchman is punished. The Turin edition of the newspaper Repubblica revealed that the Bianconeri have Thomas Partey in their sights.

The 30-year-old Arsenal midfielder had also signed for Juventus last summer, where the matter of his transfer had not yet progressed as it is not among Mikel Arteta’s main options for the Gunners to allow the Italians to hope for a deal next January.

It is noted that Partey was a key player in Arsenal’s first three games, playing in an unfamiliar position for him, right-back, while he is currently injured and is expected to return to action in around a month.
