Inter turned the Milan derby into a one-man show with a convincing 5-1 win, won five in a row against their compatriots for the first time and scored five goals against the Rossoneri for the first time since 1974.

The first Derby della Madonnina this year was special as Inter Milan and AC Milan met in the 4th round of Serie A. Both had three wins in as many opening games, but in the final there was a big winner and a big loser.

In the first camp belongs the team of Simone Inzaghi and in the second that of Stefano Pioli, with the Nerazzurri clearly superior to their compatriots and prevailing with a convincing 5-1 to climb to the top of the table alone with +2 against Juventus .

In fact, Fratezzi’s goal to set up the final score in the third minute of stoppage time was something special as Inter made history by scoring five goals against the Rossoneri for the first time in almost half a century.

The very last time Milan’s Nerazzurri scored five goals against the city’s Rossoneri in a competition was on March 24, 1974, when they won again 5-1 for the league and were usually visitors in that game.

However, this was not the only record that Inter can be proud of since Saturday evening (16/09) after they celebrated five consecutive wins against Milan for the first time in their history.

Inter’s five-game winning streak against AC Milan:
