Cassano blocked Leao’s cross and the Portuguese “responded” on social media
Rafael Leao won the MVP title in the Dortmund-Milan final, but that wasn’t enough to stop Antonio Cassano from putting it in his mouth as the Portugal international hit back fiercely against the experienced Italian striker.
Rafael Leao is by far the most expensive player in Milan’s current squad and one of the players Stefano Pioli relies heavily on for his team’s firepower. The young Portuguese striker was even named MVP in his team’s last game, a 0-0 away draw with Dortmund on Matchday 2 of the Champions League.
However, this was not enough to “convince” Antonio Cassano to “accept” him, as the experienced Italian striker heavily criticized him publicly through his televised intervention.
“All he has is speed, he throws the ball forward and that’s it, he’s never had a shot on goal, he has no assists, he’s not decisive in his team’s game.”said, among other things, “Fandantoni”, criticism that Leo didn’t like at all.
