Incredible final in Genoa – Milan where both goalkeepers were sent off in stoppage time and goalkeeper Giroud was the hero

Incredible stuff in injury time at Genoa-Milan when both goalkeepers saw red cards and left their teams with ten players. Giroud, who sat under the goalposts for the Rossoneri, became his team’s savior.

The Genoa-Milan final was epic, with the Rossoneri winning 1-0 after Pulisic’s goal just before the final.

However, in the last few minutes, things and miracles happened. First in the 90+8 minute, Milan’s Menian received a straight red card for a hard foul outside the penalty area that he committed after six minutes of stoppage time. He saw a red card from VAR because the referee had initially shown continuity in the game.

Giroud, who once again wore gloves to defend his team’s goal in the past, sat under the goalposts.

Five minutes later the other goalkeeper, this time Genoa, had entered Milan’s penalty area to take a corner kick and attempt to put the ball into the net. In the end, however, he fended off the visitors’ counterattack with a hard tackle on Moussa, which led to a second yellow card and a dismissal.

The hosts had not made all the changes and substitute goalkeeper Nicolas Leali, who played for Olympiakos in the 2016/17 season, came into the game.

In the final stages of the game, Giroud also managed a save for his team and he kept the score 0-1 when he came out and scored a double shot to fend off a good attack from Genoa.

At the final whistle, Milan celebrated their return to the top of Serie A and all the players celebrated in Giroud’s arms.

An incredible scene took place in the first 45 minutes of the Roma-Napoli game in which Jose Mourinho first theatrically cheered Kvaratshelias and then hugged and kissed him within ten seconds.

Incredible scene in Rome – Napoli where Jose Mourinho first chants Quaratschelia and then within ten seconds hugs, kisses and talks to him as if he were his father.

In the 37th minute of the game, the Georgian international earned a foul and a yellow card from his opponent, in a phase that took place in front of Mourinho, who insisted that there was not even a foul.

Afterwards, the Portuguese technician initially shouted at Kvaratshelias, telling him that he was just acting, but as he approached Georgianos, he hugged him, kissed him and began talking to him in a very calm tone while the two men found each other. A little later, the recording showed Mourinho having a very friendly chat with Osimen.
