Dybala’s injury against Cagliari sparked fears among Roma that he would need to undergo knee surgery, but the test results brought relief for the Argentine.

The game in Sardinia on Sunday evening caused mixed feelings among Roma fans. On the one hand, the joy as Jose Mourinho’s side beat Cagliari 4-1 on Matchday 8 of Serie A to celebrate their third consecutive win in all competitions, and on the other hand, the fear of Paulo Dybala suffering a knee injury and tears in his eyes leaves before the completion of the first part.

A day later, however, the news is encouraging for Dybala and the Romans: tests have shown that he has not torn his menisci or cruciate ligament and does not require knee surgery, which would have kept him out of action for several weeks.

According to initial information, the Argentine has a slight strain on a collateral ligament and the possibility of returning to action after the break is open. According to a report in the “Gazzetta dello Sport”, his goal is to return the Argentine to the playing field before the away game against Inter on took place on October 29th.
