Osimen: “Some people said I wouldn’t even score four goals at Napoli, now they’re hiding”

Victor Oshiman, in an interview, spoke about the difficulties he faced upon arriving in Italy on behalf of Napoli, while also speaking about the incredible love he has for his hometown of Lagos, Nigeria.

In his three years in Serie A with Napoli, Victor Osimen was extremely influential. The best proof of this is his great season last year, in which he celebrated in the final the title of top scorer (26 goals in 32 appearances) and champion with the Serie A partenopei.

But it was not only in this three-year review and especially in his start that rose petals were thrown his way, because the 24-year-old Nigerian striker spoke in an interview about the difficulties he had in his first steps in the Italian national team South.

“When I arrived at Napoli there were people who said I wouldn’t even score four goals because Serie A is a league based on strength.”

And that’s the way it is, but when you tell me I can’t do something, even if I don’t know it, I want to learn it to challenge those people.

Those who said these things are now in hiding. Oshiman emphasized in an interview with the Nigerian broadcaster: “Kortyeo” before the friendly match with Saudi Arabia and continued:

“Fame means nothing to me today, I don’t care. There are a lot of famous people, but their bank accounts are in the red.”

In the world we live in, it is not easy to show love. So when people come up to me and show me appreciation, thank me and tell me to keep it up, it’s a privilege for me.

When I was little, all I dreamed of was becoming a soccer player. However, the situation for my family was difficult and I sold newspapers and water bottles.

I love Lagos, when I have four days off I come here, I like being in the world. I love everything, the stress, the mood, the love, the jealousy.

As for Napoli’s strong bond with Diego Maradona, Osimen disarmed: “For me, Diego is the greatest player of all time. There will be no one who can achieve anything at Napoli that can compare to what he did.”

Incredible scene in Rome – Napoli where Jose Mourinho first chants Quaratschelia and then within ten seconds hugs, kisses and talks to him as if he were his father.

In the 37th minute of the game, the Georgian international earned a foul and a yellow card from his opponent, in a phase that took place in front of Mourinho, who insisted that there was not even a foul.

Afterwards, the Portuguese technician initially shouted at Kvaratshelias, telling him that he was just acting, but as he approached Georgianos, he hugged him, kissed him and began talking to him in a very calm tone while the two men found each other. A little later, the recording showed Mourinho having a very friendly chat with Osimen.
